Lipids, Cholesterol & Cardiovascular Health
How your genes shape cholesterol, lipoproteins, omega-3 conversion, coagulation, and vascular function.
This report may be useful if you experience any of these symptoms:
The conventional view is "high cholesterol causes heart attack," but the real picture is much more nuanced. Cardiovascular risk emerges from how many LDL particles you carry, how oxidized they are, the state of your blood-vessel lining, inflammation, insulin resistance, lipoprotein(a), and your APOE genotype. Many people with "normal" cholesterol still have heart events; others with "high" cholesterol never develop coronary disease. The genes in this report shape every link of the chain.
